List of agreements that amended the Tendering Code since october 29, 1996

It should be noted that, for interpretation purposes, the French text shall prevail over the English, the latter being a translation of the French original. 

GUIDE PRESCRIBING THE SCOPE OF WORK OF THE « INTERIOR SYSTEMS» SPECIALTY

This guide must be used in accordance with the guidelines.

The tender must relate to architectural, interior design and structural tendering documents

  1. IS. 1 - Supply and installation :
     
    1. Marking of interior system work;
       
    2. Bearing and non-bearing metal studs;
       
    3. Metal studs for parapets;
       
    4. Metal girts and sub-girts such as metal furring, horizontal bars and Z-bars, U-bars, L-bars or others, supporting the interior systems;
       
    5. Backing (wood, steel or other);
       
    6. Pre-fabricated acoustic panels installed on walls and ceilings, except if under the woodworking, carpentry or millwork sections;
       
    7. Soundproofing panels, such as «Sonopan»; 
       
    8. Gypsum or lightweight interior cement boards, treatment of joints and plaster work ready for finishing;
       
    9. Lightweight exterior cement boards and Gyplap, DensGlass Gold panels and other similar sheating panels found on units listed in IS 1.2, IS 1.3 and IS 1.4;
       
    10. Panels without laminated air/vapour barrier membrane insulation;
       
    11. Frame of suspended ceiling (for gypsum, acoustic tiles, caissons, etc.);
       
    12. Ceilings, such as slat ceilings, stretch fabric ceilings and acoustic tile ceilings;
       
    13. Patch and repair of interior systems, as quantified or if included in the above-mentioned tendering documents;
       
    14. Plastering, including of heritage structures;
       
    15. Mouldings and columns, precast or not, with plaster covering;
       
    16. Rigid interior insulation covered with gypsum or cement board with integrated “Insulock” or other support;
       
    17. Soundproofing wool batt;
       
    18. Thermal wool and semi-rigid batt in metal studs, including those in ceilings, beams and columns;
       
    19. Vapour barrier in the wall and ceiling on the interior side of the metal frame;
       
    20. Sheet or roll lead in the walls and ceilings for acoustic or medical (radiology) purposes, etc.;
       
    21. All sealing for interior systems work, including those for the structural frame.
       
  2. IS. 2 – Installation only :
     
    1. Steel frames welded and secured to metal studs, including their handling from the installation floor.
       
  3. IS. 3 - Work specifically excluded :
     
    1. Sprayed and/or injected thermal or acoustic insulation, such as mineral fibre, fibreglass and cellulose fibre;
       
    2. Steel frames assembled at the worksite;
       
    3. Temporary partition walls to be removed at the end of the project;
       
    4. Lightweight concrete board with acrylic coating, which is included under the acrylic coating section of the specifications;
       
    5. Fire-retardant sealers of other specialties; 
       
    6. Backing on the outside of the building envelope (walls, parapets and roofs);
       
    7. Backing on the openings of the building envelope;
       
    8. Plywood finish on the surface of interior system panels;
       
    9. Backing on wood studs.
